ROLE MODEL OF THE YEAR Dinner and Fashion Show @ the Savannah Golf Club – May 24, 2018
Join CIS of Savannah for our signature fundraising event where members of the local business community are recruited as “Role Models” to fundraise over a 12-week period. During this time they are paired with a board member and they are tasked with achieving a goal of $3000. At the end of 12 weeks, the participants ‘strut their stuff’ and celebrate their success on the runway, modeling fashion for local stores and boutiques, as guests enjoy dinner and cocktails at the Savannah Golf Club.

CIS CHAMPIONS AWARDS - February 2018
The kids that CIS serves struggle in school to poverty, behavior, attendance and/or academic problems, and are often not recognized for their positive accomplishments. Student Achievement Month boosts student’s confidence and helps them to set new goals and gain a better understanding of the importance of academic achievement and succeeding in school.
Students will be required to submit a personal expression of CIS Means to them.
Each affiliate will be allowed a local winner in each age division (2nd-5th grade), (6-th-8th grade) and 9th-12th grade) as applicable – but will nominate one winner for the state Champions award. That winner will be invited to the Champions banquet on Feb 19, 2018
To prepare our students for this challenge, CIS of Savannah is looking for mentors and volunteers who would enjoy tutoring and mentoring in art, creative writing, and public speaking. If you are interested or would like to find out more, please email our Executive Director, Catalina Garcia-Quick @ cgarciaquick@cissavannah.org
